Last days to admire the 13 finalist works of the eighth edition of the COMEL Award: after two weeks of exposure, with hundreds of votes cast by the public and a constant daily turnout of visitors, the Aluminium Bonds exhibition is about to come to an end with the award ceremony which will be held Saturday, October 23 with the award ceremony of the two winners: Jury Prize and Audience Award.
Starting from the chemical propensity of aluminum to bond with other elements, as a matter of fact, in nature it is never found alone, the artists enrolled in this edition have declined the theme of the bond in its various meanings: symbols, metaphors, points of departure or arrival, invitations and reflections, all delicately expressed through various shapes and different workings of this surprising metal.
After a call for more than a year, the tough selection among over 350 admissible works, the difficulties encountered during the pandemic, who will be the winner chosen by the jury of experts? What technique, what meaning, what form will have struck the stern gaze of the jurors and the more emotional one of the public?
On Saturday, October 23 starting at 6.00 pm, the organizers, the jurors, and some of the artists will welcome the public to the Spazio COMEL in Latina to experience all together the emotions of a long-awaited final and the announcement of the winners. vincitori.
