The 12th edition of the COMEL Award has reached a decisive moment: the jury of experts, composed of distinguished figures from the worlds of art and criticism and chaired by Prof. Giorgio Agnisola, has selected the thirteen finalists for the COMEL Contemporary Art Award-Vanna Migliorin.
The challenging task of evaluating more than 250 entries led to the selection of thirteen artists who particularly impressed the jury, interpreting the silent strength of this metal through personal and innovative means of expression, transforming it into a medium for visual poetry, formal exploration, and contemporary reflection.
This selection highlights the breadth and richness of artistic approaches which, despite their diversity of languages – from sculpture to painting, from design to photography – find in aluminium a shared ground for experimentation and dialogue.
The finalists’ works will be exhibited at the Spazio COMEL Contemporary Art Gallery in Latina from 18 October to 8 November 2025. The official announcement of the winners of both the COMEL jury award and the audience award will take place on the final day of the exhibition.
