BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES

Roberta Bertazzini graduated from the Primo Liceo Artistico “Accademia Albertina” in Turin and earned a degree in Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino. In 1988 she began a long collaboration with sculptor Giuliano Romano. Her artistic research focuses on material painting and decoration, using humble materials such as wood, hemp, sand and earth, combined with glass, fabric, paper, iron, oxidised aluminium and gold leaf. Her work spans figuration, abstraction and informal art, arising from a physical and direct relationship with matter. Alongside her artistic practice, she has worked in architecture. Her research aims to bring art into everyday life, making it an accessible and shared experience.
