Opening of the exhibition “Sonocontour”
A great triumph for Sergey Filatov at the opening of the personal exhibition Sonocontour that was held at the Spazio COMEL Arte Contemporanea on 8 June. The eclectic Russian artist has enchanted the audience with a performance that has exalted his every work, emphasizing its characteristics and potential.. Visitors were able to see in action 11 sound sculptures made mostly of aluminum, which thanks to the combination of technology, creativity and ingenuity produce different sounds and contribute to create an enveloping and stimulating sound environment. In the gallery available to fans also the multimedia catalogue that, in addition to images and critical texts, also contains videos of the works and performance, visible through the QR Code affixed on each page.
Winner of the 7th edition of the COMEL Vanna Migliorin Contemporary Art Award, the Russian artist performed at the beginning of May at the Giardini dell’Arsenale, next to the French-Lebanese artist Tarek Atoui within the 58 º Biennale of Venice. The Biennale of Venice. He returned to Italy for the preparation and inauguration of Sonocontour, and here he will stay again until Wednesday, June 12, before leaving for other European destinations. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to interact with the artist, ask questions and attend short exhibitions until Wednesday evening.
