BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES

Born in Melbourne in 1973, Frank Martinangeli graduated in 1994 from the Silvio D’Amico Art Institute in Rome. His research is closely linked to engraving and experimental graphics. In 2004 he founded the Stamperia del Tevere, and in 2016 he created Alea Contemporary Art, an art gallery and workshop. Since 1992 he has produced numerous graphic editions for Italian and international artists and has taken part in exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2008 he was Artist in Residence at the Grand Central Art Center in California, where he also held experimental printmaking workshops at California State University Fullerton and Orange Coast College. He has taught in various institutions and since 2010 has also worked with people with disabilities. He lives and works in Rome.
