COMEL Award 2013

Deadline: Dec  31, 2012

A contemporary art Award dedicated to discovering the creative potential
of ALUMINIUM through an investigation of its expressive, aesthetic and communicative qualities.

Why aluminium?

Why 13 artists?

Aluminium can be forged, shaped, and laminated until obtaining a very thin foil. Visually intriguing, aluminium does not require any particular final treatment. One-third of the aluminium, which is in use today, is made by recycling scrap metals. Because aluminum is the chemical element of atomic number 13.
